SUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you're feeling better! ***HUGS*** I've been thinking about you, and I meant to comment on your post last week, but I was right in the middle of billing hell at the time, and I forgot to go back. *sigh* I'm so sorry to hear about Jules as well! :(

Hahahaha! Sam was like the second or third person I friended here on LJ back in 2004. I've been reading his journal (and his fics) before I even had a LJ of my own! Hee! Although I haven't read his Sherlock fics because when he wrote them, I hadn't yet watched it, so thanks for the reminder!

I suppose you sort of had to quit, regardless, but that's fantastic! \o/

I totally missed that post (my LJ reading has been spotty, and I sort of gave up trying to catch up. Heh) and I, um, had to google him, because I had no idea who he was! :-P But my mom would know him - she LOVES that show! (I, on the other hand, have seen maybe two episodes.)

I'm glad you're feeling better! This whole summer has been ridiculously hot and humid here in the northeast. I love summer, but I'll be glad when autumn arrives this year.

You know you're welcome any time!! I've missed you!!! ♥

Because even religious artists know that story is just a creation myth? ;-)

Hahahahaha! Good point!

The discussion over at the Dish has been pretty interesting, though considering the topic got started via various discussions of current GOP political stances, I'm not quite sure what it says that religious artists from even millenia past were likely more enlightened than a number of people in our country today.

But that reader's email made me laugh. :)

Ooh, fandom convergence...I just learned of Tiger and Bunny cuz my favorite mangaka, Miyamoto Kano, has apparently put out a doujinshi of it at Comiket a few weeks ago. You can see her take on some of the characters here:

So now I suppose I have to find out more about it!

Oooh! Cool beans!

Tiger & Bunny!!! It's crack and funny and adorable. Granted I've only watched 6 eps, but everyone tells me that after ep 10 it really gets intense. A lot of my anime-loving friends on my flist really love it. My niece and nephew are addicted as well, and they're still a bit young for reading subtitles and watching things at the same time (they don't read fast enough yet). One of my favorite seiyuus (Hirata Hiroaki) voices Tiger. :)

Sherlock is awesome and I'm not even normally a Holmes fan. It's due sometime in the Spring of 2012 since they're still filming it now. In fact, they had to shut down some location shooting last week due to the rioting in London. >< Also looking forward to seeing Russell T. Ovey as Henry Baskerville and the woman who will be playing Irene Adler (she was briefly on True Blood).

We're having serious thunder here and ch 61 just showed some scary storm tracking, mostly on the South Shore. They said along with severe thunderstorms, there might be hail and flooding so be careful! It looks worse on the South Shore.

Now that I'm home from the UK and the damn sinus infection from Hell seems to have gone away, I'm thinking we should get together soonish.

and yes, 9 more days till we Kill Hitler! :)

Russell Tovey is going to be in it? Awesome!!! But GAH! I thought it was going to air this fall. I hate waiting. Though I suppose it was hard to film while Martin Freeman was off being Bilbo!

Yeah, the lightning has been pretty spectacular, though a bit scary with its intensity. It's far enough offshore, but a couple of times the power glitched in the buildings across the street, though thankfully not my building. I think it's waning now, and moving away.

You know where I live! :-P

YAY MOAR PONDS!! And thank for the prequel, btw! I didn't watch the trailers though, because I am in spoiler avoidance mode. (Unlike you, who probably knows how it all ends by now! Hee!)

It *was* supposed to air this fall, but for whatever reason (no doubt Dr Who stuff and Martin Freeman's work on The Hobbit for a start), it's been pushed back to the Spring. They're still filming it -- like I said, they had to shut down production due to the riots! Sadly, kabal42 and I missed any shooting in either Cardiff or London. Harumph.

The thunder was seriously loud here, although it sounds like it's already moving away. The radar stuff was pretty impressive looking, nearly all dark red and HUGE. So am happy we didn't get hit too badly. I'm not even sure it's raining here yet.

I do know where you live and where my PotC dvds are. You know I don't just want to drop by unannounced -- I always need to make plans in order to get the hell out of here. Hopefully I can do that soon ( ... )
