David Eddings, author of one of my favorite fantasy series (well, two - The Belgariad and its sequel, the Mallorean)
passed away on June 3 at the age of 77. Damn.
Time for yet another re-read, I think. Maybe some Silk can cheer me up.

His wife, Leigh who was his co-writer for pretty much everything, died two years ago. I didn't know that, so that also made me sad. :( But I still have his books, and I re-read them a lot, which, considering my Virgo pickiness (as WG would call it!) that says a lot. You should read the Belgariad series - starts with Pawn of Prophecy. It's one of those all-ages stories, and the characters are terrific. Especially Silk!
