Percy turns away from where he's going to look back at the island, wanting to see Calypso before he's too far away, but it's almost too hard to make out her form. He knows she's there. Her hair is being reflected by the sun, a beacon blowing out from her form. It looks like fire from this distance. Percy thinks he could be like a moth to that flame.

'No man ever finds Ogygia twice, Percy.' Her words ring through his head and he frowns deeply, staring down at the water, wishing some answer would just jump out at him. Nothing happens. The water continues to ripple from his raft moving over it. Looking back to where the island was, it's gone.
Percy frowns and turns back to the front of the raft and settles himself down onto it to wait for the raft to reach Long Island. His mind wanders, and he tries to stop it, but it always goes back to her. He tries to think of Annabeth, of Rachel, of Luke and the Princess Andromeda, of Nico, of anything but her. It doesn't work.
He can't get her out of his mind. Her face, her voice. It's all seared to his mind. By the time he reaches Long Island, he's used to her constant presence in his head. He gets distracted by fighting, by people, and by time. But he doesn't forget her. She always ends up in his mind in some fashion. Especially when he sits on the fire escape and stares at the glowing plant in the flower box.
