Vaguely THNMY-ish

Having left Auspex's Sanctuary somewhat abruptly, Blackstar drifts aimlessly in the spirit world for a time, lost as much in his thoughts as he was between the worlds. Eventually, however, shock wears off, and stubborn refusal sets in again. He doesn't want to think about this anymore for a while

There's an unsteady knocking at the bottom of the door, as if something is running into it again and again. A small, familiar voice begs entry.

"Spook!"

The green blob is back, still angry, arms waving at the happy orange blob. The little blobs are running around by their feet.

"Da angry that spook steal and Roddy steal. Da want kill." He becomes quieter and scoots a bit closer to Blackstar.

Blackstar offers One a little hug, letting the little mech scoot in as close as he'd like.

"Yeah, wanted to, but Da didn't kill. He came to get you," Blackstar offers, flipping to the next page.

The zamboni snuggles up against him. "Da angry."

The green and blue-and-white blobs seen much happier now that they are surrounded by smaller blobs, one of which is grey and has a curly tail. Zamboni One points to it, cheering up.

"Spartacus. Pa-ah-sites minions. Spartacus!" He giggles, than sobers up.

He points to the other large blobs. "Da and da. Angry at spook stealing, want to kill spook." He points to the green blob. "Angry at pa-ah-sites. Sad at other da from pa-ah-sites making da hurt. Angry."

Again, he cuddles up to Blackstar, on the brink of whimpering. "Kill pa-ah-sites to make da not hurt? Pa-ah-sites not want to hurt."

Blackstar studies this picture for a long moment, resting a comforting arm around One.

"Da," Blackstar finally says, pointing to the Demolishor blob, "was very worried about Da," pointing to the Snowcat blob. "Yes. He was... upset. That's why 'spook steal'. I know you didn't want to hurt anyone..."

Blackstar pauses, turning a serious look down on One, still with that comforting hug. "Not pa-ah-sites' fault. Pa-ah-sites didn't mean to hurt. And spook... spook not let pa-ah-sites get killed. Spook protect Zambonis. All. I promise. One understand?"

"Not pa-ah-sites fault," he echoes, still looking confused. "Spook like pa-ah-sites. Da and da like pa-ah-sites. Spook want to kill da, and da and da want to kill spook. Dunno. Don't want to hurt. Want happy da and da and spook and Spartacus." He looks up at Blackstar pitiably.

Blackstar shakes his head. "Spook doesn't want to kill da or da. Spook just wants you guys to be safe. Is One happy? Are pa-ah-sites happy with da and da?"

"Happy. Safe. Uh-huh. But want spook happy. One not kill spook." He hesitates. "Pa-ah-sites not-One...dunno." Three is fairly verbose, but half the time he just repeats what people say to him. He's not sure if any of the others understand as much.

Blackstar smiles and gives One another little hug.

"If pa-ah-sites happy with da and da and Spartacus, then Spook happy. Okay?"

One seems much cheered by this, and nuzzles Blackstar's arm. "Okay!" He nudges Blackstar to look at the final picture, which seems a bit bulkier than the others.

Blackstar grins and cuddles One close as he flips the page.

The last picture is a sprawling mass of blobs, both those who appeared on the preceding pictures and other, unfamiliar ones. This picture seems to have been a team effort, with a few of the sketches obviously done by an older and steadier hand. It seems to depict a crowd of people in various colors and sizes, all with smiles. The 'da' blobs are off to one side, holding hands, and someone's put a neat Decepticon symbol on the wall behind them. For no obvious reason, there is also some sort of wedding cake-shaped thing in the background.

The title of the piece is written at the bottom in bright purple crayon: PARTY.

"Party!" One says, in case Blackstar can't read. "Da party!"

"Da party!" Blackstar agrees, chuckling. He isn't familiar with wedding cakes, but he can guess that if "da" and "da" are holding hands at a party with a lot of other mechs around, that they're probably celebrating bonding, or however mechs from their universe do it.

"Where's One?" he asks, studying the blobs curiously. "When's party?"

"One." He points at a small blob with a red one on its side. "Dunno when. Da party fun. Da party enerzhon."

And he points to the very corner of the picture, which is wrinkled and torn as if several people have been fighting over it. Just barely visible beneath the scribbles is a familiar dark-winged figure.

"Spook party?" he asks hopefully.

Blackstar rests his fingertips on the scribbles and the torn edges, offering One a thoughtful look.

"Not-One pa-ah-sites not sure about spook, huh?" he asks gently. "Can spook come secret? One secret?"

"Shh! Secret!" He seems to find that notion exciting. "Spook secret!"
