A rant about fatherless characters

There are a lot of people out there in the world who have grown up without one or both parents. Naturally, these people crop up in fiction on a reasonably regular basis. I just wanted to say that this is a very well-written rant, and something that needs to be said because you're right that representations in YA fiction in particular often reduce someone without a father or a mother to someone emotionally crippled/incomplete. I will have to check out that novel.

Thanks, Paulina. Just a heads up that Seek is actually written as a faux-autobiographical sound portrait thing (in transcript form), so the format is totally bizarre and foreign. Just to let you know what you're getting into. :P
