Aw, and then last night - she halted the roll call! I mean, she sort of had to, but it made for a lovely scene to have Obama nominated by acclamation! I watched it all at an ungodly hour (damn time zones!) and woke up this morning feeling very positive about the Democrats in general. I mean, if they can keep the Clintons on board then the image of an Obama-Biden lineup with their photogenic families, with the Clintons, the Kerrys etc as a second string of support, it's like some kind of dream team. Just a shame that the stringent political divide means the election is going to be so close. It seems it should be able to blow the Republicans out of the water (what's the highlight of their convention gonna be? Dubya? Cheney? Oy vey!). But it won't, it'll be some nonsense 51-49 split in November, and could still go either way. Weird.
