So, someone I know has been having a rough couple of months, consisting of trying to fix things after a car accident for which the other party admitted liability. Anyone know anything about whether there is compensation available for the time and/or emotional kerfuffle caused by running around sorting out hire cars and parking permits and other

I'm afraid I don't have any experience in the relevant area, but dredging my law school memories gives the impression that compensation for time and emotional distress is almost impossible to quantify and claim in almost all circumstances. Money spent on hire cars, parking permits etc. is generally claimable, but less direct damage is much harder.
