Three weeks off!

So I have three weeks off, well two now, until I am to be at camp for work, and I am living it up lazy. I have been sleeping, eating, and playing video games for a week now with several interludes like ice skating and hanging out with Sara and other things. It's awesome! I haven't been at home this long since the summer before college and it is ( Read more... )

After Rachel and I watched Xmen 3 on friday we didn't know if we should laugh, cry, or blow steam out of our ears so we did all three at once and grit our teeth instead of demanding our money back. I mean it wasn't Consolidated Theatre's fault that the franchise went straight to heck through the back door came out the front and on earth to show us "homosapiens" exactly how completely crummy it would be in a place like that. Archangel was barely even a side character. The movies were the equivalent of a 5 year old boy buying all the marvel action figures on the shelves because they looked cool and pit themselves against each other with no regards to the comics, crap, the kid would "have" to be illiterate to make a film like that. right? I mean "who!?" died in this film? And how unnatural and laughable it all was. And they of course gave Haley Barey an unnecesarily large role when she's really more of a haley barey with cloud powers rather than any real storm. Is Haley Barey Even black? I wish Jessie had shown me the "I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, B****!" video before we saw X-Men 3, 'cause then I would've been a lot more amused to hear Juggernaut say that in the film. Needless to say, the movie was ennnnh. Entertaining, sure. Well written, no; well planned, no; good, no. *shrugs*

And have some respect. The little boy who wrote the movie was "five and thwee quawters."

Very eloquently put. Yeah, I knew about the Juggernaut thing, my friend told me about it on youtube about a month or two ago, and I looked at it and didn't really find it funny, but when I showed it to Kim after the movie, it was a little bit better. I told Kim after we watched it, "Man, they raped the comic." That was my take on it. Angel could have had a much cooler part and they totally ruined the Phoenix saga. I mean, who ever heard that it was the professor's fault that she was the Phoenix?! The Phoenix was not some subconscious part of her mind trying to get out! Gah! And could you believe that they killed off one of the X-men so friggin early? I wasn't even sure if the guy was dead. Anyway, yeah, me and Kim were also unsatisfied.

I can't wait to hear what Andy has to say about it.
