I just wanted to take a moment and thank michaelodwyer for his help yesterday. It went from merely being overcast to torrential fucking downpour as I was installing the new starter on my truck. By the time I was finishing up and had just one nut left to reattach, I was lying on my back in an inch of water and the rain was coming down so fast I felt like I was at the fucking Schlitterbahn!
As I crawled out from under my truck-become-waterfall I started laughing hysterically, loud enough to bring Elsa downstairs, whereupon she retrieved some towels for us.
Needless to say OD and I were completely soaked head to foot, and I had a very cartoonish moment where I poured a full cup of water out of one of my boots on the porch as we were drying off.
Nice thing was, after I reattached the battery terminal this morning to test the new starter out, the engine cranked instantly on the first try.
Evil scores again... just like this carrion crow!
