Sienna
Isegrim
Furious. Angry, enraged, wrathful--
The door slammed behind her with a loud bang, and Sienna didn't care at the moment if that attracted the attention of General Katrin Kristoff herself. She was so mad. How dare that girl? How dare she--
I want to eat him up.
"Like hell you will!" she seethed, storming out of the water's cul-de-sac. When the displays drenched nearly the entire back of her, she didn't notice. When the maids cupped their hands together in hushed whispers, she didn't hear a thing. All that was churning in her head were those words. Those sentences.
I want to eat him up.
He is your beloved brother, isn't he?
I'll take it.
And why was it her own voice? She couldn't possibly share that with Sepia too, could she?
"No!" growled Sienna, blind to where she was going, only--keep going, keep going, let me out of here.
Sprawled on one of the common area’s couches, a thick book on his face, the earth guardian debated with himself whether or not he should give his attempted nap a fourth chance. He’d been having a rather difficult time getting to sleep lately, and it seemed that a change in location wasn’t doing him any good. Perfect. He reached a thin hand up to pluck the book from his face by its spine.
“No!"
Blinking rapidly (why had he tried to nap next to a lamp, anyway?), Isegrim looked around for the person that the voice belonged to. It had sounded a bit like Sienna…
“Sienna?” he called, his voice hoarse with sleep. After a moment’s reflection, the blonde decided that he’d never seen her so angry. He climbed to his feet and waved to her timidly. “What’s wrong?”
The Guardian (of what, now?) whirled around, eyes blazing with unrecognition. "What--"
Oh.
Her shoulders slumped--just a tad--and maybe her features softened--just a tad. But that overflowing anger, pent up frustration, all of it. They were still very much present.
His eyes widening at the outburst, Isegrim bridged some of the distance between them. She’d hardly been herself lately, but this anger was completely unexpected. The blonde tucked his hands inside his pockets and allowed his mouth to settle into a frown. “Are you alright?” Stupid question, he knew, but it wasn’t as though she was going to tell him if he didn’t ask.
She couldn't force the glare to go away, so she looked at the furniture behind him. "..." Sienna opened her mouth to answer but nothing came out.
Her stomach was acting strangely. Doing flip-flops.
Sei... Sei had left, but had he really? No, he was still a part of her, still there, but then...
I'll have him all to myself!
Sienna's teeth clenched so hard she felt like her jaw would snap.
I'll take it.
Anthony.
Sei.
Was all that trembling...was all of it really anger?
“Sienna,” he repeated, this time putting a hand on her shoulder. What was wrong with her? Shouting, shaking, acting as though he’d said nothing at all. Had all this time spent cooped up in the cathedral finally gotten to her?
Eyes widened, she looked up at the face of the man she loved.
It all fit into place.
Gaze falling, Sienna brought her hand to his torso, trailing up until she reached the cuff of his shirt. Then, she fisted it and mumbled, "I won't let her touch you."
“I…” Isegrim stared down at Sienna, utterly confused, and tried to find something to say. When no words came to mind, he reached an arm around her shoulders and pulled the other Guardian into a tight hug. Won’t let who touch me…? He’d ask later.
“She won’t.”
She leaned into the embrace, though her grip remained strong. "That girl..." Sepia could never get Isegrim, right? She would never catch interest in him, right? There was no way, right? Right?
Unexpectedly, Sienna placed her hands on his shoulders and stepped back. This was him, this was Isegrim, this was the man she loved, and he was standing right in front of her, looking very confused and concerned.
That expression doesn't suit you.
"She won't find you. Ever." A hand cupped his face slowly before pulling it down into a rough kiss.
He let himself be pulled into the kiss and slid his hands down to rest them around Sienna’s waist. It was risky, it was stupid, anyone could walk by and see them, anyone could walk by and turn them in. But… he’d wanted this for so long. Every thought he had faded as they kissed until there was only a pleasant white noise ringing through his head. She’d never find him. Nobody would. Nobody but Sienna.
She pulled back, gasping for air and feeling especially light-headed. But it wasn't--wasn't enough--
Sienna locked lips with him once again and didn't give a flying rat's ass if someone caught them--she wasn't really thinking anymore, anyway.
A bit of oxygen to his brain did wonders to cut the euphoria Isegrim had been more than content to lose himself in with a harsh dose of reality. He gave Sienna’s hip a quick squeeze and pulled away a few seconds into the second kiss.
“Not to give you the wrong idea,” he said with a wry grin, “But maybe we should go somewhere a little less… the common area.” At best, the person who walked in on them would be Lee, and… well, the idea of him cheering them on was mortifying.
There was a small protest, then a small nod, Sienna somehow irritated that they'd have to stop. Even if it was only for a short amount of time, but... He was right.
And.
Her mind didn't even have a chance to ask what the hell she was doing before the flustered girl threw thought, once again, out the window.
Given his statement on ‘the wrong idea’, Isegrim counted his room out. Even if she was all but throwing herself at him (and he didn’t mind catching her in the least), one still needed to at least try to be a gentleman. As it was, he felt a little strange about the whole thing. It felt almost as though he were taking advantage of her. She was hardly in a normal state. Sienna had gone from furious to kissing him in ten seconds, after all.
“Ah. Your room?” Her room, her rules, he told himself. And, he remembered, it was closer than his, which had absolutely no impact on his decision. “You’re sure everything’s fine?”
Without a word, she took his hand and led him to her room, the lock clicking in place before she pulled Isegrim down onto the bed with her.
Fade to Black (Or maybe they just played checkers...?)
