The note was hastily scrawled, crumpled and stuck in the mailbox. It looked like a torn-out page from a book. The handwriting on it was surprisingly large, simple, without much flourish to it.

It's not a ribbon. It's an armband. A red one. I'd let you have it, but it's the only one I've got.

Denzel is an orphan Tifa and I took in a while back. Good kid. Tifa used to say he looked like me, but we have different color hair.
