After the Show [in which we continue the fact that time has no meaning...]

Aug 31, 2008 19:47

After the show, the actors come out into the lobby to mingle with the audience and each other. There are t-shirts and buttons for sale, and aprons reading 'Mrs. Lovett's Famous Meat Pies.' On the wall is a table with cups of water and flyers with information about the theater program.

There are many congratulations to be had and accepted.

Angela looks lovely, still in her 'sailor's' costume and flushed with the excitement of the first night's show.

Being in these productions is so awesome, from overheating in the stage lights, till you leave the theater, exhausted and feeling the chill of the outside air on her skin.

And she loves greeting people after the show.

Nearby, Ernst is murmuring thank yous shyly, blushing furiously and smiling bigger than anyone in Middle Area has probably seen him smile.

A voice, rich and full, and most decidedly male, carries over the crowd. "Mausi!"

Ernst's head snaps up and his breath catches, the color draining away from his face. His eyes flutter and roll back in his head and he slumps toward the ground. Ernst is not good with surprises...

Angela flutters as she sees his reaction and catches him before he can hit the floor.

Unfortunately, it's Angela who hits the floor, butt-first, with a yelp of pain and surprise, with Ernst's head in her lap. "Oh, dear." She begins fanning him with a playbill.

She looks up to see what has caused such a reaction in her friend.

A boy, tall, blond, and rather handsome approaches. When he catches sight of them, a brow is quirked and he comes closer. "...You know, I really should have expected this, now that I think of it." He sighs, shaking his head.

"Are you all right, miss?"
