The chairs have been set up so that the class is the audience for the performers. Fenton perches on the small stage, and it’s possible that he’s more excited than any of the students could possibly be; he loves watching actors work

Mark is positively buzzing with nervous energy. He's also feeling vaguely nauseous, though if it's from nerves or from the huge amount of coffee he has consumed lately isn't quite clear.
He mutters to himself as he rolls the little staircase onto its mark and locks the wheels in place; all they need is for it to roll off the stage and launch them into the audience or something.
Once the back wall is in place, he adjusts his sweater vest and gives Angela a wan grin. "...we can do this, right?"
Angela turns to him, ridiculously tall in her heels, and straightens his collar. "We can totally do this," she says, grinning. She's already into her 'Audrey' voice so her voice is a little squeaky and strangely accented.
She's all fluttery inside and only half of the slightly dizzy feeling inside of her is because of her heels.
Mark is feeling ridiculously short next to her, but that's what he'd been hoping for, so it's good. He bounces on the balls of his feet a few times. "Right. Totally." He might be scared out of his mind right now. It's so much easier when you can't really see the people watching.
Once everything's set up, he squints out into the audience. Introductions suck. "Right. Right, so. So. We're going to be performing 'Suddenly Seymour' from Little Shop of Horrors. Uhm. So. Seymour, that's me, he's in love with Audrey." He nods over to Angela. "But she's got this terrible boyfriend who beats her up and sh...stuff. So, Seymour's got this plant, right, and the plant eats people, and, and so he decides to feed Audrey's boyfriend to the plant...and so he does. So, uhm, she's been crying and feeling bad about it and I...Seymour...is...am..." He falters. "Uh. Seymour's trying to convince her that it's okay and tell her how much he likes her...yeah."
He gives a little nervous glance to Angela. "...you ready?"
Angela nods, grinning. She really took the effort to make herself look like Audrey, even to the flippy blonde wig.
She takes her place sitting on the stairs, or, rather, the chair hidden behind the false crumbling stairs. For some odd reason, Angela is fairly decent at summoning tears when she wants them.
