This planning weddings thing is much more involved than I remember....Lots of details and decisions and research going on.
This week's frustrating search: photographer. 
We decided to hire somebody for the family part of the shindig.  We want somebody unobtrusive who can show up for a few hours and snap. What we keep finding is elaborate 9 hour, 2

Craigslist is great! If you say that you're looking for a passionate amateur/student you'll get many responses. Just make sure to get samples of their work. Don't let your wedding be their first work, haha. They may not have wedding experience but enough other experience that it balances. I was the 2nd shooter at one wedding, and did another solo. I miss it.
