Hey, just waving hello! I am a new SP fan also, well, relatively new. I have been into the stuff for a while, just didn't know the 'official' name for it and that there was a fanbase until recently. I live in Hastings, but did live in G.R. for about 5 years, just moved back down to this little ol' place about a year ago. I doubt there's anyone interested in the genre in this little town, but it would be wesome if I could get up to G.R. every so often to hang out in your SP group with you! (Althout I don't go to college anymore...)

Unfortunately my group is all up in the Grand Traverse area (where I hail from)! I've been into the scene for a while, though, and I'd hate to give it up because no one at my new location is aware of it...

Thing is, I KNOW there are Grand Rapids-based Steampunks, I just can't seem to find any of them! D:

Any particularly steam-y places you'd recommend I check out? (I found a Victorian museum that I want to explore, but they're open by appointment only... :/ )

Well, tragically, I am quite a secluded geek and haven't been out much, which is why I am trying to become more active with getting into groups like these and becoming more social and I'd love to actually have a face-to-face meet-up group to go to... I can't really think of any SP places to visit off the top of my head, but I will let you know if I do come up with any! :)
