I'm angry. They gave me a sob story and now I'm working full time hours for the next 3 weeks or more, given their track record. They don't understand that I need the time in the summer that I'm afforded by part-time hours so that I don't get overwhelmed and burnt-out. Do sick days count as personal days off, too?

No, they're separate. They roll over from year to year and the 2 personal days do not.The thing is, though, that if you call out sick on any given day, they can ask for a doctor's note, especially if it's on a Monday or Friday and especially right before a break. :-\
