Ah, this is hilarious and wonderful and Avery as sex director is the most correct thing in the universe!

Hee, I really liked this, and the idea of Avery being the director makes perfect sense. And Jack definitely deserved to get dumped by both women.

"--the he's just doing it as a means to an end.

I know this was an interrupted thought, but it still reads oddly--is "the" supposed to be something else?

Yep, 'the' should be a 'that.' It has now been fixed. :)

I think I must still feel hostile about the love triangle, since when I saw this prompt I thought, "Yeah, they all should do it. Take that, Jack, you jag!" I'm glad you enjoyed this; I always feel nervous about writing Avery and including Liz in crazy sex, so suffice to say I was extra nervous about posting this one.

(Somewhat related: Do you think Jack and Avery will break up down the line?)

Hmm...I really don't know. It kind of seems like they've hinted at that, with the "being too alike isn't a good thing" stuff. And I just don't see true love coming from either of them. It all feels pragmatic and common-sense, which has its place, but is uninspiring to watch. Plus, the pairing was set up in such a distasteful way that it's hard to see it working out.

At the beginning of the season I thought they were taking the Jack/Avery soulmates 4 eva thing seriously and I assumed Liz would end up alone/Jack would be married, but I do now have the feeling that they're not going to stay together and that Elizabeth Banks will be more gone from the series (again, like her role on Scrubs, what is that about). Which kind of makes Jack/Avery seem pointless to me, but I guess it would never have been super meaningful whatever happened.

I got here from http://www.uberetc.com and boy am I glad I followed the link.

You've got Liz's inner-talk down pat. Really great!

I have to admit not being familiar w/Avery or Nancy having not watched the show in a while, but their commentary on Jack also felt spot-on.

Thanks for writing!
