Awww. This is so happy and so sad. Very perceptive and lovely. Some wonderful moments. Avery's dig at Liz's room is so something you'd hear her say on the show. And Liz's fumbling with the nanny is sweet/weird. Her internal thoughts are spot-on too. I like the image of her just sitting, holding the baby. But her limbo is so heart-breaking, especially because of Jack's obliviousness which is totally IC as well.

Thank you! I am especially glad the Avery bit seemed right since I always worry about including her in fics. And, you know, I used to write/see Jack as being more perceptive about Liz and how his behavior might be affecting people, but now I don't really see him as being in tune with her so much, so I think he would not get why she could be hurting in this situation.

Unfortunately this is more true to their relationship now, however much it sucks that they ended up in this place. I don't think you should worry about including any character in your fics tho'. You can pretty much nail 'em all as far as I can tell. :)

Thank you. :) I can't help be worried about writing Avery, though, since I sometimes think not caring for a character much could make me want to portray said character too harshly... (Not that she hasn't been kind of harsh on the show. I'm just saying.)
