I dislike both but not about the same. It's like saying would you rather bite the curb or a punch in the face? Hmmm... maybe not a punch in the face. More like... cramps. You know they'll be gone soon but you still dont enjoy having to deal with them while they're there.

Maybe I should have been more specific... but that just would have confused me.

I hope someone writes Jack/Avery fic, actually.

I actually tried to write a post-ep for her second episode, but I scrapped it pretty quickly because I didn't feel like I was getting her voice.

I legitimately like Avery, though more in her first episode than in the one we just saw. Nancy's unbearable - it's mostly her accent, which I get that she's exaggerating as a joke, but joke accents just aren't a good idea for a character we're supposed to take seriously.

Yeah, I get that. I do think Nancy would be more palatable if she didn't have that accent. (Which Carlock said we're supposed to take seriously, actually. The fact that it's not meant to be over the top confused me SO MUCH.)

I picked Avery based solely on my giant crush on Elizabeth Banks.

I consider the reasoning behind your choice valid.

nancy, because ridiculous accent aside, I thought she and Jack had surprisingly good chemistry together. I usually only think that about Jack and Liz. (seriously, why does Jack usually have such non-existent chemistry with his canonical ladyfriends?)

I don't know, but I get what you're saying. I don't want to pick on Elisa again -- okay, I do -- but man, he and Salma just didn't work together.
