Liz officially moves into his house two weeks before the wedding. Which is different from the unofficial moving in she's already done because none of her stuff is elsewhere and there's no elsewhere for her stuff to be; the lease is up and some loser will be living there.
"I don't know why I called whoever's going to rent my old apartment a loser," she adds, though Jack doesn't seem taken aback by her comments. Which makes her want to defend her old building, but she refrains. "But someone else will be living there. And I will be living here. Ha! You can't get rid of me now."
"I can assure you that's the last thing I'd want to do."
"You sure you wouldn't place boffing Hillary Clinton right after she's been elected president at the bottom of the list?"
He considers this. "While I wouldn't approve of her having power, that power could be an aphrodisiac."
"I'm surprised by how grossed out I am right now."
Later, when they're in bed -- after they've had sex but before she's decided if she wants to go to sleep or take a break before they do more stuff to each other -- she finds herself thinking again about the fact that she lives here in the 'this is my mailing address' way (and, wait, did she change all of her magazine subscriptions? She doesn't want that loser getting her Fitness; she's going to start regularly exercising soon, probably... unless she doesn't). She lives with Jack, will be spending the rest of her life sharing a bed with him. Sharing her life. She won't have to waste any more time trying to convince herself she's not lonely.
"So," she says (though they'll have a lot of other nights together), "I'm not ready to go to sleep yet."
