"Perhaps I was hoping you did."
"You want to have a relationship talk? I said no because I thought you didn't. This is like 'The Gift of the Magi.'"
"That's not the most appropriate O. Henry reference. Frankly, I don't approve of O. Henry references to begin with. They're too common, too easy."
"Didn't stop you from boffing all those boozy socialites. Booyah."
"I don't know how to respond to that."
"You could admit you just got served."
"Until you present me with a meal, beverage, or impressive dance move, I shall do no such thing. We're supposed to be discussing our future. Dear God, I sound like a woman. Are you happy you've done this to me?"
"I guess. If you're the woman, am I the dude?"
"Perhaps. I'm fairly certain you have more hair on your chest than I do. Now you've been served."
"That means you're into dudes. Suck it. Which is something you must hear a lot."
"It means no such thing. There's no hair on your chest that I've noticed. If I did see any, it wouldn't arouse me."
"It's just a joke."
"As was my comment that started this. Now I realize the mistake I've made and ask that you let this die instead of pretending a hairy chest is one of the masculine traits you possess."
"Fine. Now, let's have a serious conversation. Are we dating?"
"Yes."
"Are you dating anyone else?"
"No."
"Want to date anyone else?"
"No."
"That's all I needed to know."
"That's all I wanted you to know."
"That's settled. So. Want to do it with your hairy-chested girlfriend?"
"I thought that joke had met its end."
"I admitted I'm a girl. Jeez. Now touch my manly chest."
"I'll ignore the manly part and comply with your request."
