Driving in the Rain

I don't have a long list of pet peeves. Really. It don't. It is simply a waste of precious energy resources to maintain a litany of pet peeves - energy that could be better spent more constructively. But I do have one. And I question whether it falls into the "pet peeve" category, because it is more than an annoyance, it is an issue of safety ( Read more... )

It has never ceased to amaze me the number of drivers who (a)are totally egocentric and can't see beyond themselves (b)have no imagination as to possible outcomes for their egoism or(c)have never heard or been taught about driving defensively. Death wish driving behaviors, with no headlights at the top of the list also include: no use of turn indicators, phone use and texting, and not looking before changing lanes.

So glad you caught that peripheral glimpse.

Defensive driving is inadequate these days. I prefer the term Tactical driving. Its absolutely necessary.
