My Favorite Thing

I know, I know. I say "it's my favorite" all the time, but I really mean it for this one. I've held my excitement in far too long about City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare. City of Ashes is book two in The Mortal Instruments trilogy, and I was such a good girl waiting for it to arrive. When it finally did arrive last week, I nearly mauled the poor ( Read more... )

Fantastic review, Michelle. I can't wait to read it - as soon as I'm done with the first one I'm going right to this one. It's on my coffee table, waiting for me.

HODGE:EWAN MCGREGOR maxiekatt2 June 22 2010, 13:37:51 UTC
Now see, I think Ewan should play Luke, cos Luke is a tortured soul and fit and scruffy, Ewan McGregor can pull all those off.

And I agree, HOT HOT HOT!!

p.s. Alex Pettyfer for Jace, hands down.

Why not? He was a Shadowhunter who fought alongside Valentine. Ewan can pull off the intellectual tortured soul thing and still make you believe that he was tough in his youth. Besides, in Michelle's Imaginary Casting Agency, everyone is hot!

Yes, Hodge is surprisingly hot indeed. I'm still not budging on my ideal casting of Jace, though. I don't know why anyone ever suggests him.
To the people who did this idea of casting: You hit Magnus right on the head, and Valentine as well.

This is making me want to go grab the book off of my shelf and read that instead of study for my upcoming tests! I can't wait to start this series now.

Read it! Read it! Read it!

It's one of the (many) reasons why my chapter 5 currently consists of four lame paragraphs.

Thanks...did you finish it yet?

Do you see why my theory could be right? Hmm...the scar (among other things). I will start a discussion soon for the book so people who come here don't get any spoilers.

I really wish I could, but actually, I have already read City of Glass... and I can't discuss anything anymore about what could or could not be. All I can say now is to go re-read City of Ashes and try to find someplace in the book where someone has a scar and build around that. Sorry to be so vague, but again, it was only a theory. Or was it?

And BTW, City of Glass is FREAKIN' AMAZING!!!!!!
