Hmmm....

Just adding a post if you'd like to discuss tonights episode, "Chair Model". For an episode that really didn't include Jan (cept for that hilarious cell phone thing) she seemed to be all over that place. Like a ghost or something. Gave me the chills...

Anyway. Discuss, don't discuss. Do what you want. As always, clothing is optional.

I will have more to say after I watch it again. I wish we could know where Jan is. I'm worried about her. Overall I liked this ep a lot better than last week's, even though, as you said, Jan wasn't there. It's obvious Michael is actually missing her, even if he doesn't realize it. I really liked how the chair model look like Jan (as I had hoped she would). It really showed how Michael is still caught up with the appearance of Jan and what he wants to see in Jan instead of who she actually is. He loves the model because she reminds him of the image of Jan that he (and, I guess, we, as well) fell in love with in the first place. But that Jan is dead. And Michael had to have closure on that. Actually, as I'm writing this I'm realizing that this was such a beautiful metaphor. Wow. You're so right that Jan was there like a ghost. It was the ghost of her old self from the past three seasons. And it's gone.

Yeah. You could really feel her presence in Michael. Even some of the looks that the other actors had in a few instances. Like Pam's reaction to Michael when he mentions something about "swearing off women after that dinner party". She looked kind of sad and scared or something. There just seemed to be a lot of heavy, sad moments. I thought everyone did a great job in this one. I thought I was going to puke when Jim and Pam were talking engagement, but oh well. They always make me want to puke. lol

Hehe. Jim and Pam don't bother me, I just don't really feel much when I look at their relationship. It's the same thing when I look at a puppy... nothing. :)

Anyway, one more thing I want to add to my previous comment is that I really liked the way Jan answered the phone. It was half a why-are-you-calling-me? "Michael" and half a I've-answered-the-phone-like-this-a-million-times "Michael." The fact that she answered the phone at all is good. Was that picture of her his background picture or just the picture for her number? I have a lame old phone so I don't know if one can have a picture for each contact. Even though he needs to stop fantasizing about her image, I hope it was his background picture :).

:D That was a really good one, after the 'Dinner Party'.
I definitely needed more Jan this episode, it was very nice to hear her voice, but not enough... according to the deleted scenes -that I can't watch...- Jan is staying with her sister in Scottsdale.
I thought that when Michael will go to get his closure it will be with Jan, but then they went to the cemetery. There was a little time for it, but I still thought that they will meet with each other and we'll get to see them talking. I also thought for the tiniest moment that Jan was dead, but it was that stupid model.
I loved that episode a lot. can't wait for her comeback :P
