As I've mentioned before, I've been pondering a screen name change for the journal, and seriously, I sat for a couple of hours over the last few weeks seeing what was and was not available for screen names, in much the same way that I originally chose both of my enduring screen names on AOL oh so many years ago. I was checking out my friend's list on my profile page and realized something was different. I hadn't yet went to read my friend's pages. If someone drops you, and you still have them, you can tell. But here was Michael Arnold, on both lists, and I was confused. Did I friend someone back so quickly and not remember them?
Glad LJ just did a name edit and only re-alphabetized you. I'll probably still think of you as Xlgmeat for a bit (though it's only a label to me). :)

For the paltry sum of $15.00 (US), the lovely people (yeah, right, people) at LiveJournal will change your user name, and at your choice, either keep or dump everyone who is listed as your friend, whose friend you are listed as and all of your communities.

XLGMeat isn't really going away though, it's just being relegated to an e-mail address and an identity on those lovely sites with all the naughty pictures.

Well, if you've got siblings (as I do), then you know you're really in trouble when Mom starts going through the list of names (she's too upset to quickly pull up the right name). Just being called by first-middle-last name means that you're not quite in as much trouble. And "Oh, Timmy" just means that my sisters are disappointed in me, but I'm not really in trouble.

Congrats on the new screen name....I am pondering a change too from the sexual to the artistic.

One thing that threw me a bit is that there is an Australian named "Michael Arnold" living in SF (check out http://www.sfbearhunter.com ). While there is no confusing you with him, thought you might want to know handsome.

That's too funny! I actually know him..... didn't know his last name though. And he owns Mike-Arnold.com! Funny, I didn't check on who owned those websites.... hehe.....
