Character's Name: Michael Nathaniel Corner
Age: 26
Birthdate: October 12, 1979
Family background: Michael's mother is Pureblood and his deceased sperm-donar was half-blood. Lilian got pregnant with Michael just out of Hogwarts with her then-boyfriend. They never married and he died soon after in a work related, magical accident. Michael and his mother lived in his grandparent's estate until he was six years old when Lilian married Darren Greengrass. He gained a father and a little sister in the bargain. He considers Darren to be his father, but has never called him anything but 'Darren.' Astoria he claimed as his sister from the start. He doesn't care about much, but he's always thought of her as his since they were children, his Rory. Michael always wanted siblings and got one in Astoria.
House in School: Ravenclaw
Bloodline: Half-blood. Michael could give two shits about blood, but it wasn't something he could ignore growing up. His whole family and the society they keep is pureblood. He knew that many considered him 'Lilian's mistake.' For all that, he was generally humored as an oddity and accepted, though he was never considered 'one of them.' Michael didn't really care one way or the other. He gets on with most everyone and what they think about him doesn't bother him. If anyone gives his sister or mother grief though, Michael cares very much and would take the steps necessary to remedy the problem.
Political Views: Michael thinks blood prejudice in either direction is load of shite and a waste of energy. He's literally caught in the middle of the whole thing - a half-blood who's family is pureblood. He once was part of the DA in school, but that was for a girl. He's not so inspired nowadays except to clean up Astoria's trouble when necessary. He knows his sister struggles with blood issues, but doesn't prod her about it. If she wants to talk, she'll come to him.

Description: Taller and leanly muscular. (about 6'1 and 180lbs). Darker brown hair and bright blue eyes. On the pretty side for a man, but it's balanced by the fact that he doesn't much care about his appearance and looks slightly scruffy and unkempt all the time - mussed hair that's always a bit too long, a day or two's growth on his face and comfortable clothes (oftentimes, Pink Floyd tees)

Sexuality: Straight.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Michael is clever and introspective. He never had to try hard in school and has never struggled with anything he's attempted to do. He's also incredibly easygoing and laid-back. Most everything rolls right off him. It takes quite a bit to get him ruffled, but when he is, it's probably best to be elsewhere (Usually the only time this happens is when someone messes with something that he considers his, ie, Astoria and his mother at present). Michael's also attentive to people around him. Though he doesn't make a lot of effort for much, he does pay attention to the people he cares about - he's a good listener and perceptive about what his people need.
Habits\Quirks: Michael smokes on occasion; mostly when he's out with his friends - never around Astoria or his mother. He's contemplative and tends to just watch the goings on around him, though he'll get involved if he's inclined.

History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time:
Though Michael was involved in the DA, he was not part of the final battle at Hogwarts. His family stayed out of the war, and so did he. He's glad that Voldemort is gone though, not that he had any doubt that he would fall at some point
He cares about his family, enjoys spending time with his friends, and is amused by most everyone else. He keeps up with Quidditch, something he enjoys as a consumer, as well as music. He's been going through a Pink Floyd stint most recently.
Michael plays acoustic guitar and sings for Astoria on occasion, but he's never taken it further than his own enjoyment. She's tried to prod him into actually doing something with it, but as of now, he's inclined to move at his own pace and do what he pleases. (THIS & THIS = Michael's voice & music type - mellow, but introspective and a little bit intense)
Of late, he's taken to playing with the house band at Mistral's in Diagon Alley, teaching them his music, though he's yet to play any shows during prime time. As for the near future though, he's not sure. This is very close to bothering him, but a skilled Occlumens, Michael's sure he'll be able to uncover that which he hid from himself a long time ago.
