New York City Comic Con Hotel information VERSION 3.0! XD
I'm getting stoked for New York City Comic Con. It's gunna be a BLAST this year. I got the maths all figured outs! :D
Okay, so I've okayed it all with us peeps, and KellyAnne (aka autumndandelion) is going to be staying with us in the hotel. This means there will be SEVEN of us troublemakers in one hotel room (wooh boy... ;^-^) It *WILL* be cramped, just so everyone knows. I know I've said it before, but New York City Hotel rooms are smaller than normal hotel rooms, so there's a new rule I need to add to the list. RULE #5: If you are sleeping on the floor, you will be expected to put away your bedding promptly every morning so there is room to walk. Also, if you are sleeping on the floor, you should PROBABLY bring your own bedding (pillows, blankets, etc) because then it will be less likely that the hotel will charge us an extra fee and/or make us get/payfor another room.
Jem caught my little math kerfuffle with the last entry, I was underestimating the taxes. I have fixed that. Thanks Jemima! :D
I have 1 hotel room reserved (with 2 full-sized beds) at Best Western Convention Center Hotel (address is 522 West 38Th Street; New York, NY 10018)
Here is what everyone will owe:
Jenn & Mica - Oct 6th thru Oct 11th (5 Nights) $267.34 Each
Robina & Jem - Oct 7th thru Oct 11th (4 nights) $159.74 Each
Claire & Jordan - Oct 8th thru Oct 10th (2 nights) $60 Each
KellyAnne - Oct 8th thru Oct 11th (3 nights) $101.84
My math is as follows -
$175.20 + $40.00 taxes = $215.20 a night - $1076 total
I know I estimated the taxes a little high (It's actually $27.612 for the 14.75% sales tax, and $10.293 for the occupancy tax) but I wanted to estimate a little high in case I missed a tax or two (priceline.com mentioned a $3.50 per night city tax, but I didn't see that on bestwestern.com) Is that okay? Also, they MIGHT charge us an extra $10 per person per night, but I dont think they will. I'm not sure. I will find out at check in. If that is the case, I will refigure the fees at that time and let you all know.

Oct 8th - Jen,M,R,Jem,Jor,C,&K ~ 1/7 Each + or - bed fee ($31.30(4) + $30(3) = $215.20)
Oct 9th - Jen,M,R,Jem,Jor,C,&K ~ 1/7 Each + or - bed fee ($31.30(4) + $30(3) = $215.20)
Oct 10th - Jen,M,R,Jem,&K ~ 1/5 Each + or - bed fee ($43.34(4) + $41.84(1) = $215.20)
Jenn & Mica ~ $107.60 + $53.80 + $31.30 + $31.30 + $43.34 = $267.34 Each
Robina & Jem ~ $53.80 + $31.30 + $31.30 + $43.34 = $159.74 Each
Jordan & Claire ~ $30 + $30 = $60 Each
KellyAnne ~ $30 + $30 + $41.84 = $101.84
With the "bed fee" I simply subtracted $1.30 from each of the 3 peoples who will be sleeping on the floor and added that into what the people who are sleeping in beds will pay. (I did the math with a $1.20 "bed fee" on sunday night to avoid half cents) Does all this sound fair?
I think it's all good, but if you have any problems or changes let me know. (or if you spot any problems with my math)
Also, all the rules still apply from my first post about this, but I feel I should just restate them to make it easy on everyone (plus the fact that KellyAnne & Claire may not have seen them yet) :
1. No smoking in the room. (and yes, it IS a non-smoking room)
2. NO underage consumption of alcohol in the room! Jordan and Claire are my only underagers, and they will NOT be allowed to drink alcohol in the room (and I'd prefer that you didn't do it in my presence, as it triggers the Leo side of me and you are likely to get a lengthy lecture ;)
3. NO CON LOVE IN THE ROOM! - There will be no sex in the room! I don't care if you find your soulmate at the convention, if I find out that you brought him/her back to the hotel room to make whoopie, you will be finding a different place to sleep for the rest of your stay (Of course, this rule is null and void if by some strange dimensional slip, we meet the REAL ninja turtles. In that case, I'm all for the orgy! ;D ... and YES, Jenn and Claire can leave the room if this happens ;)
4. Curfew is midnight. If you are not in the room by midnight, PLEASE let someone know where you are and when you will back. Otherwise, I WILL be deadbolting the door and I will not let you in. (This rule doesn't apply, OBVIOUSLY, if all 7 of us are out TOGETHER past midnight somewhere)
5. If you are sleeping on the floor, you will be expected to put away your bedding promptly every morning so there is room to walk.
As you MAY have seen in Jordan's latest post, she's going to be our sexy Raph! ;D I'm going to order my sexy Mikey costume this weekend after I get paid on friday. KellyAnne is going to be our sexy Leo. I'm *TRYING* to talk Jennifer into being our sexy Donatello, but she thinks she's too pudgy *pout* :'(
