Actually, and I'm going to be revealing quite a bit about myself here, there's a reason that they didn't kiss. It's always been a goal of mine to never kiss a man until I'm at the very least engaged, preferrably married. (So yes, I am 21 years old and have never been kissed *blushes*) Therefore, I probably place a lot more weight in just a simple touch than do most others. Now, I don't see Kurogane setting a goal like that for himself, but I do see his feelings about touching and hugging being similar to my own. I imagine that if it has taken him so long just to admit he has feelings for another, it would also take a while for him to work up to each stage of showing those feelings
