For anyone who's curious about what I shall be when I grow up:
“You need a wheel? I am that wheel. You need nails, screws, a balance disk? Take me. Is there soil to be tilled? I shall till it. Do you need soldiers? I am a soldier. Police? Doctors? Lawyers? Teachers? Water-bearers? Please, I shall do it all.”

My father's loyalty to his country is something I can only strive to emulate. I love that we see the country through such a similar lense-we're nearly identical when it comes to political viewpoints and ideologies.
This was a part of the post I cut out before uploading, because it was kind of tangential, but the way I see it, in Israel everything is a statement. I mean everything. Every single choice in your life can be traced back to roots before you, and it's all loaded with philosophical, historical, and political connotations. There are no 'empty' decisions. My brother calls this a concentrate country: everything is distilled and much more intense. I think that helps breed the kind of fierce patriotism we're talking about-I don't know if I could've felt it anywhere else in the world.

Oh bb, that has so much heart in it I hardly consider that rambling. ♥
And I am in total agreement with that point of view: the struggle your progenitors went through is so deeply ingrained in your society that it would be impossible for you not to be loyal. That's what I think I, for my home country, lack - that real understanding of the hardships those in the past had to go through for me to have what I have today (freedom) and that I have to do my part in making sure that lives on to breed that sense of devotion for one's country. You'd think the education system would be properly utilized to develop that sense of trust and love for one's country and countrymen but it only makes one comfortable with the current situation and accept it as it is; making you feel lucky that you're more privileged than others but they don't emphasize well enough on the giving back part of the equation. I am speaking, of course, strictly from the standpoint of a private school student and from my own experiences; those in public school ( ... )

Oh, you're very welcome! I'm glad you think so. It really is a great inspiration for me; how neat to see other people think of it as such, too. :D
I would be very happy to get the opportunity to visit your country at one point in my life.
I would be very happy to host and/or guide you! ♥
