1. Have spent the entirety of January 1 passed out in my bed, sleeping like a dead thing, in recovery from a smashing night with lady_nimua which included huge Asian dinners, TV marathons, and seriously gay-sounding liquor. All in all, an excellent start to the new year. \o/

LOL, I would say something about you being too awesome to be jealous, which is true, but on the other hand... yeah, he's seriously great. *grin* We are only just starting and kind of unsure about where we stand, but he offered and I accepted and it's very nice for the time being, which suits me just fine.

THE PARTNERSHIP THING. DDDD: I'm not overly offended they didn't choose me; they're looking for very specific characteristics and it's not as though I'm not "good enough", I'm just "unsuitable". BUT STILL. I was so hoping to bunk in New England and command everyone to fly over to Massachusetts for an epic get-together or something. Sadface.

Currently I'm hoping to get in one tiny vacation abroad before being drafted to the army, because for their entire first year a soldier can't leave the country's borders, so it will really be my last chance for a while. Looks more like it'll be in Europe rather than the US, though, since the latter is crazy far-off. Closer to my crime-partner, y/y? *hopeful look*

Re: time frame: I... honestly don't know, actually. I will endeavor to find out, although drafting dates are strange and elusive creatures. I really, really hope so, and I also really hope I can gather the money to arrange a trip to the US, despite my mum's talk of One Last Family Trip before I enlist. Rocking the law court army base town with you vs. driving around Croatia with the folks? Pfft, what a no-brainer. ♥
