Day 4! I think this is a record for me!

Nov 04, 2010 20:44

Thank god for 31_days that's all I have to say... i've only gotten a bit more than 2,000 words though -_- so not exactly success, but def not failure! Anyway, here's today's Skip Beat! ficlet.  Kyoko-centric introspection about Corn

Fairy Love

Because it wasn’t important whether she believed in love or not, what mattered was that the couple did and would work together to realize their dreams in each other. And that’s what she’d been getting wrong this whole time. )

31 days, fic, skip beat, nanowrimo

So cute! I love Kyoko introspection. I am so dying for her to move past her own issues a little bit that I'm a total sucker anything wherein she does so. The fact that she is now poised perfectly to swan dive into love with Ren just makes this better :)

Also, ganbareh! I read elsewhere that writing a ton of SB! fic is your NaNoWriMo project. Myself, I'm attempting a full-blown novel following 2+ decades of never having written anything longer than 15 pages at max, for class. ^^;; いっしょうにがんばろう!

yesss! i'm all about the setup.. i feel like there are so many little ways she can get over her 'resentment' that i'm constantly thinking of every situation where that might happen. a movie role (like this one), realizing that her friends (or the Hizuris) love her, some unrelated person having a crush on her, discovering lust as something separate from love. So much potential!! I aim to capture as much as I can this month.

So what's your novel about? will you be posting snippets on LJ?

p.s. you're lucky i'm taking elementary japanese right now... though I still had some trouble identifying all the hiragana letters.. must study more!

I know. There are a gazillion possible resolution-roads for Kyoko; I'm dying to see which Nakamura-sensei decides to go with. Capture away! I want to read them all :)

My novel is... sad, I think? It's split across times but not places. Half takes place in 17th century French Vermont and centers around a very traumatized little girl who grows up into a stunted woman who eventually is subsumed into the woods that she goes to for solace. The other half takes place nowish and centers around a dissatisfied, emotionally starved young woman living in Boston who is traveling home to Vermont for the first time in years. She herself doesn't realize how vacant she is, but over the course of solitary hike she figures it out and is subsumed into the selfsame woods.

I will post snippets as I feel comfortable with them. At the moment, I'm four days behind with writing and more than a little bit lost. Yay!

Also, 日本語はすごく面白いわよ! 楽しんでね :) And no, I'm not giving you the hiragana for all that. Mwa ha ha.

ok so i see wa su go ku and shin de ne.. i have class tomorrow so maybe i'll learn what that actually means!

your novel sounds cool and kind of creepy.. are the woods eternal? will the two women meet? and by subsumed do you mean like daphne turning into a tree or more mononoke-ish forest spirit-esque?

and don't worry about being behind! i've actually been writing every day and i still only have like 3500 words (i've never been very prolific.. the fact that i'm writing everyday is a huge accomplishment in itself) がんばれ!
