I WROTE THIS STORY ON FAN FICTION WITH NO INTENTION OF IT GETTING COPIED ON SEPTEMBER 2ND, 2011..... YOU NEVER ME ASKED FOR MY PERMISSION.... THIS IS FLAT OUT PLAGIARISM
Actually, it's Miah's story.neshomehApril 6 2012, 15:19:18 UTC
Hi again! I guess this clarifies your post in the PPC comm.
Again, I understand that you're upset, but I'm afraid you're a little confused. Most importantly, this story has not plagiarized yours. Plagiarism is taking someone else's work and passing it off as your own, so Miah's story is not plagiarism for two reasons:
1. She has only used pieces of your work for demonstrative purposes, and 2. She has not claimed she wrote them; she credited you as the author of your story in her disclaimer.
Furthermore, Miah does not need your permission to do this, again for two reasons:
1. It is legal to reproduce a portion of a copyrighted work for the purpose of demonstration; 2. It is legal to parody a copyrighted work.
It's okay to be upset about it-whoever told you about it was probably trying to upset you, actually, and we wish they hadn't-but that doesn't make Miah a plagiarist. Make sense?
