So yea...I called yesterday about my ticket to see how much it costs and the lady told me 143 dollars. ok. whatever. I got to thinking about it last night and I don't even know when I am supposed to pay it. I call back today to see how much time I have and the lady says that my court date was yesterday and that I was supposed to be there...FOR A

*grins* guess you never got a ticket before :) ALL tickets, even for parking, have a court date.. if ya don't pay by that date (or call to reschedule) then you gotta pay the ticket + $35 court fees.. if you don't pay it after a couple weeks they send you a threatening letter.. than a couple weeks later there's an arrest warrant sent out. A court marshal will come to your place looking to arrest you, but they won't find you.. but next time you get caught in a roadblock or pulled over and they run your license.. boom, warrant and driving on a suspended license..

you oughta just go there and pay them all your money, then promise to pay them more when you can ;) they have no mercy!

Yea. The only problem I have with that is that I did call, the lady told me that I had to send 143 dollars. I call back the next day to see how long I had to pay it then BAM. They can threaten me all they want, I'm not goin down without a fight. It sounds as if you have had experienced something like this before? lol

if you refuse to pay them, that's what'll happen.. you could just come up there and act dumb and be like "you told me $143 on the phone!".. i missed my court date in columbus and called after the date on my ticket, and they acted like nothing was the matter, just told me to send them the exact ticket cost within the next 7 days. you'll get further in person when you have the money on ya than on the phone most likely.

Just warning ya.. I've seen plenty of my friends say "i'm gonna fight it... by doing nothing and refusing to pay!" and then get canned.. arrested, fingerprinted, paying ANOTHER ticket for driving on a suspended license, plus the original amount they refused to pay. I'd say go there now while there's no warrant and try to pay the original amount.

remember when i had that ticket and forgot about it and thought they were going to come to school and arrest me? haha good times. you probably dont remember. lol

my license was suspended for like a week. but thats cause my mom knew some state trooper.
