I'll see your mock orange and raise you some anise hyssop. Which I thought died out eight years ago but now here it is next to the back porch, 30 feet away from its prior location. We've been digging, pulling, and chopping out from several years of garden neglect, and my, what strange plants are here.
Wish I could---my mother loved mock orange, and so my father planted one just where the prevailing westerlies would bring the scent into the kitchen window over the sink, during the (perhaps) two weeks each year it bloomed in northern Illinois--but there's no such spot on our tenth-acre!
