I dont know the exact details but there was cancer found in his lymph nodes as well.

BUT during the surgery is when they found them and in an email my mom sent the doctor told him they had removed the nodes with cancer during his surgery already and he has to do chemo/radiation when he gets home to pheonix again to make sure its gone or something.

It was unexpected and not great news, but it's good that they caught that during the surgery and it sounds like everything is being done to make sure he will be cancer free so I would be optimistic. Hoping he continues to make good recovery from the surgery. *hugs*
