Since some of us didn't get to powwow after the movie. I shall come back and add my thoughts later; for now, go crazy in the comments. Knock thyselves out.
ETA:
STARTING OFF WITH THE BEST STUFF:
--Helena Bonham Carter wins my life. Randomly playing with Snape's stuff in the Burrow ("Put it back, Bella..."), randomly smashing things in the Great Hall, randomly skipping through the woods, randomly reminding us that SHE KILLED SIRIUS BLACK, randomly draping herself all over people like the crazy crazy CRAZY slut she is... oh man. XD She's so much fun to watch, in a kind of oh-god-you-crazy-bitch-don't-come-near-me way.
--SPEAKING of crazies, how about that Fenrir Greyback, huh? :B I don't know if it was just me-- because as probably everyone here knows, Greyback is the one HP character who truly terrifies me, and that probably wasn't going to change-- but he was super scary and freaky and I wanted to hide every time he came onscreen. DD:
--ALAN RICKMAN
--...I think I may like DRad!Harry more than canon!Harry. Maybe it's Jo's writing, maybe they cut out some of the worst scenes, but he annoyed me about a billion times less than he did in the book. I even found myself... enjoying him at times.
--Evanna Lynch wins forever and I am going to marry her. <333
--The cinematography and art and atmosphere was gorgeous gorgeous GORGEOUS argh it was so shiny argh
--Weasley's Wizard Wheezes was as awesomely, giddily insane as I had pictured it to be.
--ALAN RICKMAN
--Some genuinely scary moments-- Katie Bell's scene was uberfreaky, and those FRIKKING INFERI jumping out of nowhere ARGH
--Gambon was more Dumbledorey here, I thought, than he's been in the past.
--D'awww, Slughorn. <3
--I was kind of hoping that they'd leave Remus/Tonks out entirely, that they'd just carry the last movie on without it, but I guess that would be kind of difficult now that I actually think about it. :|a Having them already be together and sparing us the awful awfulness of that whooole ongoing subplot and letting me imagine MAYBE they have chemistry and MAYBE it's not as awful for Remus as it is in the book is the next-best thing, I think.
--ALAN RICKMAN
--"Dragon balls" is my new favorite line ever. Ever ever.
--Seamus still blows things up in his face! And Dean is really tall! And Neville serving drinks at the party, AWWW NEVILLE
Less-good things:
--WHY DO ALL THESE PEOPLE JUST SHOW UP AND DO NOTHING. Timothy Spall was in there for, what? Ten seconds? Did he even get a line besides "pathetic whimpery noises"? Neville did nothing. Remus did nothing. (;_;) Hagrid... well, Hagrid always does nothing so that's not new. GRED AND FORGE did nothing.
--Argh Burrow scene. I would've KILLED someone for even the slightest hint of Remus ACKNOWLEDGING Greyback because I always need moar werewolf angst, but instead it was... mostly Harry/Ginny. I know Remus's whole thing about "yeah Greyback bit me 'cause he sucks ;_;" isn't REALLY necessary, but maybe we could have just a slight nod to it? Maybe?
--fffffff Ginny. >( Bonnie Wright is a very pretty girl, but her acting? Doesn't work, and it ESPECIALLY doesn't work when practically EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE is spot-on. ...Harry/Ginny did annoy me less here than it did in the book, but I think that's more Dan (<3) than anyone.
--I COULD NOT TAKE DRACO SERIOUSLY all his ridiculous brooding scenes with his ridiculous hair and his ridiculous suit and his ridiculous ~angst~ and ahahahaha Draco. Though Tom Felton did a really excellent job with the tower scene, I will say that. That was the only point in the movie I actually felt for him, as opposed to laughing hysterically.
--I realize Bill and Fleur aren't necessary to the plot in any way, but I miss them kind of a lot. D: And how are they going to do DH now? Just like HAY REMEMBER FLEUR WELL SHE'S MARRYING MY BROTHER DON'T ASK QUESTIONS
--The climax was... well, anti-climactic. It was so weirdly abrupt, and weak, and DAMMIT I WANT BATTLES. BATTLES. PEOPLE KICKING ASS. That would've been a nice opportunity to actually have Ginny do something cool, really. Or to show people such as NEVILLE and SEAMUS and DEAN who did really nothing. I mean, really, what was everyone supposed to be doing? Hiding in the castle? Staring at Dumbledore's body in shock? BELLA TOOK LONG ENOUGH BUSTING WINDOWS AND LIGHTING THINGS ON FIRE, THEY WOULD'VE HAVE TIME TO GET OUT THERE AND START FIGHTING.
