Hello from Japan!

After a ridiculous 11 hour plane ride, I'm now in Tokyo for two days of orientation! I'm right about to go to sleep. My body's so tired but my mind's still running in circles. Shower was awesome though.

I am seeing possible snags in my Great and Awesome Plan of Awesomeness (which it was dubbed on one night of insomnia, muses, and intense wishing for a stiff drink... or several), so provided I can find funds (without resorting to some sort of life of crime XD), you just might have a K dropping in on your head and GNAWING.

Fukuoka is the northernmost prefecture in the southernmost island of Kyushu (with the exception of Okinawa).

I'm a bit in the boonies of Fukuoka, but that said, it's only an hour from the city. Food's great here and the seafood is amazing! X3

Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture -- it's on the opposite coast from Tokyo, right about where that fishhook goes out onto the ocean. About five hours by train from Tokyo or Osaka, woe...

Yeah! My orientation is going well. Also, when are you going to be in Tokyo? I have a bit of free time tomorrow (Tuesday) night from 5pm to about 8:45 ish. Would it be possible to meet up?

I'm glad its going well : ) Sadly, I wont be in Tokyo till the 5th : ( I would only have been able to come on sunday and monday this week (work week starts tomorrow), but starting on the 5th is my vacation. You will be going to Kyushu before then though, right? My Mom arrives on the 5th and I'm planning to stay in Tokyo till the 10th maybe? Then go somewhere in western Japan between Kyushu and Mie 'cause I thought that would be a good place to be able to meet up with you and Nicole-face. If you guys have vacation and want to travel somewhere to see me, lol. But if you don't want to travel or dont have money or something maybe we can come to Kyushu. Sorry everything is so last minute, but after this vacation my next vacation isn't till New Years : ( Though maybe on a weekend sometime I can fly down to Kyushu-land. But anyway, for now it would be really great to meet up during summer vacation : ) Anyway, let me know.

Yeah, I'm leaving for Kyushu tomorrow morning, so I'll be there. Thankfully, I think I don't have to teach until a month later (although there are errands and setting up I have to do) so if you want, I'd be totally for going somewhere close. Only thing is, I'm not exactly sure about transportation, but if it's doable, I would definitely love to meet up.

Not sure when I'll have internet again, but I'll try to get in contact and hopefully we can work something out before the 10th. :D
