Well, you've got me hooked. And like I said before, I haven't watched Firefly (except for the tail end of one episode - which, as you might imagine, is an extremely confusing way to watch anything), although I've read around enough to put names to faces.

How old's Ashley? (unless that's a plot point)

Putting Anita into a confined space with a bunch of strangers is just asking for trouble :D...

Like I always say, anytime I can hook a reader into a new fandom is a good day.

There's no plot point turning on it. Ashley's about five.

And putting Anita into any situation with anyone is just asking for trouble. :D

i love firefly, but you wouldn't know it from how much i watch it. it took me a moment to figure out which dude was the captain, but the moment he spoke, i knew, hehe. fascinating. i think i was expecting something short so i saw the tbc and pouted, but i'm glad it's long. i can't wait to read more.

You got me hooked on Anita Blake, and now you've snared me with Firefly. This story is simply...simply...Mhalachai.

Mhalachai
def: n. A fanfiction so brilliantly well written that words cannot describe the complete effect of reading it.
origin: eng. slang. Mhalachai was was the pen-name of a very, very good fanfiction writer in the early 21st century.

The definition probably needs help with the wording, but not, I believe, with the circulation.

...and has the added effect of drawing the reader into new fandoms.

(This is the second time it's happened to me: first Anita Blake, now Firefly. When will the fun ever end?)

The fun will only ever end if I stop finding new fandoms to cross with.

It's funny, because crossovers are really how I came into fanfic (My first one waaaay the hell back was a Stargate SG1/Voyager crossover). I have heard a lot of people say they never read crossovers... but Inevitable is very good :P. I think if it's a good author, then almost anything can be made to work.

You guys are making me blush. Thank you.

And I'm extra glad when I hook people into new fandoms. This is what fanfic is really for, I feel, to energize people about various fictional universes.

The dynamics will be fun to write. The entire story will be from the Firefly crew's POV, hence the title. A different way of looking at the AB characters :)

Why are you people so convinced that there's a vampire in the box? What could have ever given people that impression?

But see, I can't say. I have this pathological desire to tell you all the plot, but that would defeat the purpose of writing the story. All I can say is that it will all be answered by the end of part six.
