I think Peggy does owe Tony an explanation about the relationship between her, Howard and Maria. Not on this day, but she needs to look for circumstances where Tony will be ready to hear it. Since she and Howard and Maria never stopped to think what oh-so-bright, observant Tony would make of their understanding I think there's some obligation to clear up the misunderstanding, despite how personal it is to Peggy (she doesn't have to give him too much detail). If she doesn't it's going to scar Tony forever. I'm glad Tony has Sarah. She's an interesting character and I hope to see more of her.
Finally, Peggy mentoring Nick Fury is gold. Looking at their respective personalities it's also oddly plausible.
