Is it a writer who doesn't have much of a history with the show?

I think it might have been. I just finished an epic rewatch of the last 3 seasons (season 4 is currently on the air) and I literally cannot remember when she has used "Espo" before. Just so strange.

We have the same thinky!thoughts. Castle does have its flaws at times, like any show, but they do get the gender stuff right more times than they don't.

And I learned this week that Seamus Dever (Ryan) and the actress who plays Jenny are married IRL. She was tweeting pics (from his account) from the set and then dug up their original wedding pictures. That's the cutest thing I ever saw, really.

I have not yet found any fandom presence for Unforgettable, which is a shame, because I want ALL THE FIC. I want the Al/Carrie, and the Al/Carrie/Elaine, and the Carrie/Roe...

I know, right? I want any fic at all, srs.

Right now I'm unhealthily obsessed with the idea of Carrie/Roe. He's been pulling her pigtails since day 1 and he's the one she banters with (outside of the crime scene flirting thing she's got with Al - those actors have great chemistry). I need fic so bad I may have to write it myself :P

Thank God someone else noticed the "Espo" stuff. I was wondering if I had missed something. The first time it was odd, the third was totally jarring.

I know, right? Once I could handle, but it seemed like every time Beckett flagged him down this ep, it was with "Espo". Just jarring, as you say.
