Love this. Weird(ly plausible) crossovers are my favourite :).

And Garcia as a witch explains so much.

Glad you liked it! You know I love the weird crossovers myself :P

Garcia would be the best sparky witch ever.

This makes me love the show even more. Even if I did have to google "squib".

One word for this. Epic! I liked how Garcia almost went into fangirl mode. Oh the giggles.

This was really good. And I really need to catch up on some of the episodes.

Thanks! Garcia would totally fangirl our man Harry, which might make him more than a little nervous (if, say, they were to meet :)

The last few eps of CM have been pretty good - have you seen Lauren yet?

I dont think I have. I lost my Tivo, so I need to get the episodes, all the ones i see on the air now are reruns. I need to remember where I stopped. Oh well, gonna have to watch all the other ones, hehe.

Awesome. It occurs to me that there could be a long line of oneshots in this vein where various fictional characters turn out to be squibs - thus explaining whatever personality quirks the writers have saddled them with.

Seeley Boothe and Rick Castle (or Kate Beckett for that matter) come to mind.

It was a little disconcerting to start reading this a few days after seeing the April Fools Promo for 'The Aurors'.

ooh, that's a lovely idea. There are so many driven characters on tv these days, squibiness would be a great feature to explore.

Can you point me in the direction of the promo? I missed it. Thanks!

Find the promo here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WhhS2maFEs

IGN set it up as a very high quality April Fool's joke but the production values are so good everyone wishes it was real.

Thinking about squibs in law enforcement it occurs to me that at least half the casts of CSI, Law and Order and, well . . . ever police show ever could easily be written that way. It could even be this whole thing where law enforcement everywhere know all about wizards because so many of them are squibs.

Also, looking at the list of prompts that this came from I highly recommend you look up Sam Storyteller on dreamwidth and read all his stuff, especiall 'I Was Only Borrowing Time (I Was Going To Put It Back)' (White Collar/Doctor Who Cross) and 'Half a Dozen Laconic Bastards' in which Neal Caffrey, Tim Drake, Zane Donovan, Ianto Cooper and Gwen Jones are all John Sheppard's NID produced clonebabies.

(This time I remembered to rec under my own name)Reply
