Why yes, yes I have. I spent 3 months one summer thinking out this amazing story. Only to sit down at the end of the summer to write it and realize I couldn't remember how it started. I was so sad. I've tried since then to write it out but it never seems as great on paper as it did in my head.

It's amazing how man fics I bookmarked with the idea to rec, and then never got around to it. Delicious is the perfect solution (esp. so I can find these things again)

I should really start writing this story down... although my handwriting is so bad it may hinder rather than help.

Yes, but more than that - I get paranoid that someone ELSE has written it because it's so solid and real in my mind.

luckily this is a sequel to a newish-idea story... maybe it feels so real to me because the first part is already written.

Which doesn't explain why I haven't found the time to sit down at the keyboard...

I think that best-case scenario it's sort of cracky. Worst case it turns into some epic character-biopic/whump. So really, there is no bad here...

Been there, done that... or more accurately haven't done that.

Had this GREAT idea, had it all worked out, polished to a faretheewell.

And went to put hand to key and it all just... dissolved.
