It made sense - that (and a blackberry) are perfect holding size for little hands, with nice curved hard edges to gnaw on. Mmm, delicious wireless signals :)

*FLAILS* Okay, you figure out how to do it with the perfect amount of reluctance, freak-out, and pull-backery. Plus, Torren. Which means there was an extra serving of adorable on top.

I still foresee this exploding dramatically at some point.

Anything with Torren is adorable. John with a baby is dorktastically cute.

And yes, this will explode horribly in the very next chapter. And the one after that, and the one after that... Basically, the set-up is done, now it's time to shoot out the dominoes.
