Really?

I've started watching Bones. So far, I'm totally in love with the show and have no desire to fic it. This must be what a normal person feels like.

Pointless post? Yes it is. Go play Sudoku.

I also feel strange when I have no urge to read fanfic on a series, generally though it's when the series is young enough not to have a ton of plotholes, or is like Law & Order where the continuing story line isn't a feature, the crime is.

I find I have little interest in ficcing mystery and crime shows, but that's what my original writing tends to be. Since the mystery is revealed in those shows, I don't need to continue on, ya know?

i can see how ficcing crime shows would be tough. imagine the plot you'd have to come up with. i'm far too lazy.

my biggest surprise for me was that i can't fic the Smoke series. I'd love to. I'd love to read them, but there is very little, and I can't think of a plot for the life of me. hmmm... maybe i should throw tony into an inevitable st. louis...

I can't really fic the Smoke or the Blood series; the stories feel complete on their own. Ya know?

I haven't felt the urge to do Bones until last week's episode...

...And that'll probably be a one-off.

Well... almost always... I agree though with ficcing Bones... For me I don't even try to find any because I don't want to see how badly a fangirl/boy has messed up Bones style of dialog. She uses large words and in a certain context that is very unique.. so much so that I don't think that many people will be able to replicate this.
Actually Lisa Roquin from above also wrote a very good Supernatural/Bones fic. Set during first season of Bones.
