If I wanted to bring up my biology degree for a moment for some Tin Man meta...

Now that would make an interesting fic. I've seen stories where Jeb has a different dad (Zero, for obvious angst purposes) but not Az.

Would make sense though-- I mean, if the Queen had had a more noble O.Z. husband first who was Az's father, then it's a lot less eyebrow-worthy that she married an artist/carnie Slipper afterward. And if Az was little enough at the time, of course both girls would still call him Daddy.

...There are other possibilities, of course; and lots of complications any way it's set up. But-- interesting. You thinking about ficcing it?

It would be interesting for sure, with some lingering resentment from Az as to why DG was always treated special (the child born from love v. the child born from duty) and some daddy issues.

What little we saw of Ahamo, he was as invested in Az (even possessed Az) as DG - not the 'oh save the world' part but worrying about her life.

I'm thinking of ficcing it, or bringing it into play, but I'll need to think on it for a while. I'm not much into maudlin, although I'll kick it with melodramatic.

You know, I thought the same thing about the movie version of Golden Compass - Lyra had brown eyes. Her two supposed parents had very, very blue eyes. Oops.

I know it's all due to the actresses etc, but... still. I can see a link in a haystack when it comes to my fandom, um, obsessions.

I think the eye thing was the first bit of human biology I learned that I still remember from classes.

The father refers to his daughters, plural, more than once. That's where it's left, anyway :)

I read a story once where Ambrose was the father of Azkadillia but Lavender Eyes met and fell for Ahamo so soon after getting pregnant with her that everyone just assumed she was Ahamos. It was interesting.

Ambrose/Glitch has a lot of theories surrounding his relationship with the Queen. It seemed to me he had a unreturned love for her, but some people think the paiting of the two suggusts they were related some how. *shrugs*
