So I was thinking about it, and I'm not going to change the journal's default setting because I actually like my non-lj readers. I tested the "adult concepts" thing out on an old post, and when you're logged out, if you try to access such a post, then you get "14 Adult Content Notice : The content that you are about to view could contain adult

I don't think you have any stories - not even Switchback - which qualifies with a rating higher than PG-13. On TV, your themes are showing during family hour.

I made the most recent two chapters of Switchback, dealing directly with the rape, as "Adult Concepts" as frankly, etc., etc. But you're right, most of everything else I've done isn't that bad. Even when people are naked, it's like that "from the neck up" naked we see on TV.

And the only smutty story I've ever written (Nice Girl, AB/BtVS, Dawn/Gregory) I only linked to from LJ.

I'm just not one for smut or majorly graphic violence. I wonder what that says about me as a writer...
