I needed to write something that wasn't angst - and this was sugary enough to fit the bill :D

I'm glad you're liking how things are going. It's good for me to write all these short AB stories, to help me deal with new canon :)

I just finished DM Sunday. My number came up at the library. I have to agree with you about the new canon. It's going to take a while to get used to. And digest. And stop shaking my head in disgust. Anyway... I don't mind the sugary. I thought "Family Hour" was nice as well. You did a great job with Micah's family. Shame on them for calling her names!

I agree with one of the other commentors that said that you should just take over writing the series. Maybe then we can have something more intelligent to read. I so gotta find more fanfic to read now. lol

Sometimes, instead of new canon, I would prefer a new cannon :P

I think Family Hour is one of my better pieces, actually. I'm never too certain while writing Micah, but it worked out well.

Fanfic yay! Sadly, there's not a lot in this fandom, which is really too bad, considering how much fun the books were in the beginning.

What a lovely surprise to read this. I am always for some Nathaniel and Anita Fluff :). I think that this is the way things are meant to be. For of all the men in her life, I think Nathaniel, True Love. I wrote a drabble series about trust for a PDS challenge and in it I portrayed Nathaniel as Anita's one true love. It was interesting that some thought that I had wronged the other men by thinking as such.

But to me, Nathaniel loved Anita from the start. He loved the pre-arduer Anita, he loved the pre-power stuffed Anita. He saw her for what she was, the whole package and still wanted her anyway. If she opened her eyes in the books, then I think Nathaniel, out of all the others, would be her one true love. Not for what she offers him or can do for him, but just because he loves her. That is what comes across in your story here. It is so right, and makes me smile :)

Anita and Nathaniel are so damned cute. Really. They're the total schmoop.

Nathaniel loved Anita from the start

Exactly the way I see it! Not a sexual love, although that's in there, but along the way Anita made Nathaniel into family. He's really the only person that Anita has let into her life like that (she's been too much on the defensive with the others, such as Jean-Claude and Micah, but then they are alphas and Nathaniel is so not.)

I'm glad he's home too. Lovely. I do so adore your Nathaniel/Anita. They just seem to fit. Which is remarkable, since I also adore your Micah/Anita and your JC/Anita. That's talent my literary friend--make them all believable and equally as enjoyable!

I don't have one AB OTP, which is sort of odd... maybe it's the way I see Anita, but she has all these different relationships and not one is more important than the rest, they're just different.

Well, all except Richard, who frankly shouldn't be let within 10 yards of Anita.

*squee* I love Anita/Nathaniel fluff!! This was so perfect in so many ways!! I really enjoyed your characterization of Nathaniel...him becoming more dominant, trying to figure out what a 'real' relationship is and affirming what he has with Anita...perfect. I loved the end too...her not having a panic attack...hallelujah! Great stuff that is definitely going to be memoried!

Yay! Glad you liked it. Nathaniel has grown so much over the few years with Anita, that I suspected his progression would continue. Also, she's grown too. It's like a growing thing.
