So...not dead.
Things are okay. I moved out of my parents house at the end of July and Cat and I are happily ensconced in a one-bedroom flat close to one of the colleges where I'm teaching.
I'm teaching a full adjunct load at one school (where I've applied for a full time position for the fall) and not quite full load at another. I've quit the for- ( Read more... )

Glad to hear you're still around, and awesome that you are in your own place. I know you talked about it for a long time, and I'm glad you finally made that jump. Even if it's a bit tighter financially, it's probably way better for your mental state. Plus, your own space is always win.
Glad to hear teaching is going well, too, and good luck with the full-time position! You'll have to let me know how that works out.
Sorry to hear about the health misery, but I hope your doctor can get that under control and you'll be back to yourself in no time.
