The definition you found is quite right. "The Lady is a Vamp". Vamp, of course, being a short form of vampire... and vampires used seduction as a tool to get what they wanted, in most legends.
But I think Vamp has the name because of his sexuality and his blood-sucking, not because he takes advantage of people... he clearly loved Scott, and seems to care about Fortune a lot...
There's no doubt that Vamp loved Scott with all his heart, and he adored Fortune, too. But what about his life before he met Scott? That could be a different story entirely. ;)
