Either ways, I stand by my comment saying that this was quite fantastic! A very intelligent-sounding, well-written fanfiction, if I do say so myself.

I actually have quite a few Big Boss/Ocelot stories in various states of completion, it's the finishing that gets tricky (I keep getting distracted with new plot bunnies). But yes, there will be more stories! :)

I have one question, and a slight critcism I didn't think of after reading this the first time.
I am having trouble imagining the area in which this is all taking place. I don't believe I've ever come across a glassed-in balcony, and what I imagined would be difficult for Mantis to maneuver on. I suppose my question would be to ask what you mean "exactly".
The slight critcism is that for some reason, I sort of wished you dwelled on Mantis recognizing Big Boss more, or mentioned it later. I don't know exactly how you could've worked it in to the story, but I enjoy the concept.
Anyways, again, I really enjoyed this, and I look forward to reading anything else from you!

Question: I'm not sure if such a place was actually in Shadow Moses, in retrospect, but I think I just made up the balcony. It also seemed to me to be foolish to have an open balcony in Alaska. So I guess in practice it's more like a sunroom? Like a viewing platform rather than an actual balcony. I hope that makes sense!
Criticism: Yeah, even I admit I totally dropped the ball on that one. I think I had some idea for a semi-sequel with Mantis going through what he knows now about Ocelot and Big Boss and what that means for the mission, but I don't think I ever ended up writing it. Maybe I will, now that you've reminded me! I'd sure like to revisit this, I have similar reservations to you about the way Mantis ended up reacting.
Thanks again, and sorry again for the ridiculous delay in replying!
